What a week for the formerly third ranked. University of Louisville basketball Cardinals. They win on last Saturday at home in the KFC Yum! Center and watch the two teams ranked above them, then number one Duke and then number two Michigan. On Monday, they got the news that they have claimed the number one spot in both the AP and USA Today polls. How sweet is it for a photographer they he gets to cover the top team in the nation. Check the stories on Louisville.com. Meanwhile, I didn’t mind Instagramming the photos below.

Now they get ready for a showdown tomorrow with sixth ranked Syracuse. Imagine how much these young men have to gain or lose depending on the outcome of the game. But then again, intense pressure can make diamonds. Check out their play from the last home game, last Saturday, against the South Florida Bulls.
