She Had To Leaf

Bad pun, I know, but I couldn’t help myself. I wanted to try to bring you the kind of smile that Abby brought us all day on Sunday. Plus, you know, leaves.

When you do a senior photoshoot during these months, leaves are around as props and should be used. Abby used them and it looked like fun while she was doing it.

I’m a sucker for photos like this.

In most senior photos, the parents, who are the funds keepers, prefer smiling photos of their progeny. And Abby has a fantastic smile so you know why her parents would love to see those kinds of photos. But Abby also look smashing in a thoughtful kind of portrait. She didn’t know I was going to shoot this one but I saw the moment in my viewfinder and had to make this photo.

Remember the twins Easton and Lucas? Their mom, Lauren, is a Realtor with Paul Semonin. After her family photo shoot, we talked about maybe doing some photos with her real estate partner Lindsey. Misty and I were lucky enough to work with them yesterday.

Our weekend also included a commercial photo shoot at Misty’s old salon, Southern Comforts Salon & Spa on Dixie Highway. Even though she doesn’t do hair there anymore, she maintains relationships and friendships with the beauticians and cosmetologists that make men and women look their best.

On Saturday, our friends Megan and Jonathon made the short trip to Old Louisville to get some photos with their three-month-old son Mason. As you know, the weekend was sunny but cool however, Mason was an awesome subject and his parents weren’t so bad themselves.

So, as mentioned in my last post, I’ve been making photos of Whitney and Jaxon for a few years and so has Misty. But, if I’m not mistaken, this is the first time we’ve done them in Old Louisville. And I have to tell you, I love them and I love Old Louisville, so it’s a match made in heaven.
