Part two of my grandson Jeremiah’s two year old birthday celebration was at the Newport Aquarium and he had a big time. My favorite part is how he likes to laugh when my camera is pointed at him. He’s decided that’s the easiest way to bring up that million dollar smile. So I kept getting shots like this.
It’s been quite some time thanks to COVID, since we’ve been able to work with people in front of my lens.
Luckily, Misty’s parents Dale and Bootsie agreed to let me see if my shutter finger still worked. So we traveled through parts of Old Louisville and encouraged them to be romantic and sweet. That wasn’t hard at all. I’m glad they let me press the button on the good stuff.
I’ll show you more in a bit.
Most professional photographers will shoot a test or two to make sure the camera and the strobes are speaking to each other the way we want them to. And even though you tell your portrait subject to relax and the test won’t count, sometimes you get magic anyway.
For those that may not realize it, Brielle is not the beautiful lady sitting on the couch. That’s Lauren.
Three years ago is a long time. And when you are a portrait photographer during the coronavirus, it seems even longer. I can social distance while making portraits, but I understand why people don’t want to take a chance.
On Saturday, our friends Megan and Jonathon made the short trip to Old Louisville to get some photos with their three-month-old son Mason.
