I’ve already mentioned how easy it was to make remarkable photos of Megan and Tyler at their engagement photo shoot. And, as you’ve seen from the photos so far, that’s the truth.

Misty and I have had the pleasure of shooting wonderful subjects for a number of years now and Megan and Tyler are no exception. During their engagement photo session, though nervous, they really brought their A game.

Earlier today, Misty and I took Megan and Tyler on a tour of some cool looking spots downtown in NuLu and the Waterfront for their engagement photo shoot.

I can’t say for sure, but that seems to be the thought on everyone’s mind as soon as they find out I’m vegan. That’s the image that people have of vegetarians and vegans. Skinny hippy types that are very earthy-crunchy and love to tell everyone about their lifestyle. Stereotypes and all that.

Time To Share

Here goes.

I’ll admit this up front so that if my lifestyle offends you that you can move on to the next destination in your internet surfing. I’m a vegan. The simple definition of that is that I only eat plant foods. Originally, I would say I only eat plant-based foods, but then I thought about it. Technically, all foods are plant-based. Even meat and poultry is plant-based because the flesh of meat is grown because the animal ate plant food. There’s where the term “grass-fed beef” comes from.

So I only eat plants. I started at the summer solstice of 2017. The time of year had no particular meaning. That was just when I decided to take the plunge. I’ve been thinking about it for a while and leaning toward it, but never actually went over the edge until then.

SKETCHBOOK: My Friend Alex

This is Alex. She’s Jenna’s daughter and we did family photos yesterday, some of which I can’t wait to show you because, despite the cold, everyone did great. Our schedules have been snake-bitten. The last time we were going to get the girls in the family together, it rained. And it’s nearly November, so outside days for shooting are dwindling.

SKETCHBOOK: Model Tall Senior

I met Molly a few years ago when I was doing senior portraits of her eldest sister, Abby. Even at that time, you could see how close the sisters are and what great personalities they had. They are all beautiful in their own ways and, as close as they are, they have different interests and their mother encourages them to go for it, whatever it is.
