FLASHBACK: March 28, 2012

So, I’ve been trying to figure out how to remind people that I’m a photographer. COVID-19 slowed business to a halt, as it has with many, many other businesses. And even before that, publications in Louisville ran out of money for freelance shutterbugs. Of course, that makes it difficult to survive as a creative.

…But You’re Still Chubby

Rolling up those sleeves and getting to work in the kitchen.

I can’t say for sure, but that seems to be the thought on everyone’s mind as soon as they find out I’m vegan. That’s the image that people have of vegetarians and vegans. Skinny hippy types that are very earthy-crunchy and love to tell everyone about their lifestyle. Stereotypes and all that.

SKETCHBOOK: Behind You

We had such a good time shooting photos of Kendall and her family and she was looking out for me through the entire shoot. You can see that here. While working with her and trying to get her attention, Misty would stand behind me and make funny faces or do funny things and Kendall wanted to let me know. SKETCHBOOK: London and Brayden

I think we may have accidentally shot Valley High School’s 2017 football poster with my son London and his friend and quarterback Brayden. I always have fun shooting senior photos, but this was particularly awesome for my own personal reasons.

SKETCHBOOK: Behind the Scenes at Madame Trousseau

This past Thursday, the Voice-Tribune sent me to cover the grand opening for Madame Trousseau’s Bridal in the Henry Clay building in downtown Louisville. I’m always excited to see what’s happening at elegant affairs like this. Continue reading “SKETCHBOOK: Behind the Scenes at Madame Trousseau”

FOOTBALL: Fairdale at Valley

The Fairdale Bulldogs traveled to South Louisville’s Viking Harbor to take on Valley High School. Unfortunately for the Dawgs, they ended up leaving with a lopsided loss 39-19. It gave the Vikings a chance to avenge last year’s loss which should have been a win. Continue reading “FOOTBALL: Fairdale at Valley”

SKETCHBOOK: CQ Jam for WaterStep

Over the weekend, I had the chance to cover the CQ Jam for WaterStep for the Voice-Tribune. It had everything and by that I mean it had people donating to charity, live music and torrential rain. Continue reading “SKETCHBOOK: CQ Jam for WaterStep”

FOOTBALL: Valley at Moore

Friday night ended up being a long one for the Valley Vikings as they traveled to Moore High School and left with an L 40-37 on an entertaining and potentially winnable game. In fact, the Vikings were the favorite going in and during the first half were rolling with offensive and defensive scores. Continue reading “FOOTBALL: Valley at Moore”
